Welcome to BKN’s Pollinator-Friendly City Guides: your passport to traveling the world’s best cities with VIPs (that’s Very Important Pollinators) in mind.

Take the 101 to the 405 and find plenty of pollinator-friendly hotspots in Los Angeles. The City of Angels contains plenty of natural beauty in its 469 square miles, and believe us, these sites are worth sitting in traffic for.

Where to Eat in Los Angeles

Flower Child (1332 2nd St, Santa Monica): If a bowl of super-fresh plants is what you seek, look no farther than Flower Child. This beachside spot has delicious salads and bowl perfect for a grab and go lunch.

Great White (1604 Pacific Ave, Venice): Always reliable, always delicious. Great White serves fresh fare at all times of day—but their brunch service is a must.

Sage Plant-Based Bistro (4130 Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City)There's no shortage of cauliflower wing in LA LA Land—but Sage Plant-Based Bistro serves some of the best. You'll also find a wide range of pizza, tacos, sandwiches, and wraps on the menu.

Au Lac LA (710 W 1st St, Los Angeles): Head downtown for Vietnamese plant-based food. When it comes to Au Lac LA, the move is definitely to order a few dishes for the table so everyone can taste everything.

Where to Explore in Los Angeles

Descanso Gardens (1418 Descanso Dr, La Cañada Flintridge): Spend the day exploring what's in bloom at the Descanso Gardens. Make sure to experience the Enchanted Gardens and the Sturt Haaga Gallery during your visit.

Griffith Park (4730 Crystal Springs Dr, Los Angeles): Get lost (figuratively, not literally) in Griffith Park. Spend time with the honeybees in this ginormous green space located on the easternmost edge of the Santa Monica Mountains.

Solstice Canyon (3455 Solstice Canyon Rd, Malibu): Hop on the Pacific Coast Highway and spend a day in Malibu. After you hike Solstice Canyon, head down to the beach to catch the sunset and cool off with a swim.
